First Look at the iPhone Fold: Apple's Unique Design Revealed

Source: Date:

Raise your hand if you expected Apple’s first foldable device to take a wide-style design rather than the typical book-style flip. This is precisely what Cupertino has chosen, as demonstrated in the photo shared by Ice Universe on Weibo.

This development is not entirely surprising; we have previously encountered dummies and CAD schematics that unveiled the dimensions of the device—120.6 mm tall and 167.6 mm wide when unfolded. When folded, the device is anticipated to measure 9.23 mm thick, or 13 mm with the camera island.

The image also showcases one of the two color options: Silver and Navy Blue. Notably, there will be no vibrant colors offered for Apple’s inaugural foldable, and there will be no third camera either, although details regarding its two camera modules remain scarce.

Reports indicate that the Apple iPhone foldable is on track for launch this September, positioning Apple to rapidly ascend into the top three foldable makers in the market. However, this iPhone Fold will come with a premium price tag, expected to reach around $2,000, and initial supplies may be limited at launch.
