Recent leaks have revealed renders and key specifications for a new smartphone called the HMD Grand, which is set to feature the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 chipset.
The device is expected to have a 6.9-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Full-HD+ resolution, positioning it as a budget-friendly 4G smartphone.
Leaked images showcase the HMD Grand in two colors: Flora Blue and Titanium. Notably, the smartphone features relatively thick display bezels and a prominent bottom chin.
In terms of camera capabilities, the HMD Grand is rumored to include a 50MP primary rear camera and an 8MP ultrawide sensor within a rectangular camera setup. For selfies and video calls, a 50MP front camera is also expected.
Powering the device will be a 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Additional anticipated features include dual speakers, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and dual microphones.
On the software side, the HMD Grand is expected to come with Android 16 out of the box, alongside two years of OS updates and three years of security patches. The smartphone is likely to be available in configurations of 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.
