Spotify has announced the launch of a new feature called Personal Podcast, enabling users to create private, AI-powered podcasts. These customized podcasts will be tailored to individual interests and listening habits, providing a unique audio experience.
Users can generate these podcasts directly within the Spotify app through the Personal Podcast feature. By simply entering a text prompt that describes the desired content, Spotify will create a personalized episode.
Additionally, users will have the option to schedule recurring podcasts, such as daily briefings or weekly summaries.
To enhance the generated podcasts, users can incorporate links, PDFs, text, and various other sources. They will also have the flexibility to adjust the prompt and select different voices for the AI-generated audio. All episodes will remain private and accessible through the Your Library section.
Spotify has indicated that the Personal Podcast feature will start rolling out to Premium users in the US beginning in June. Users will receive a specific number of monthly credits for podcast generation, with the option to purchase additional credits if desired.
