The entry-level Standard trim starts at €41,390. In its base configuration, this rear-wheel-drive version offers an estimated driving range of 555 km. Buyers seeking improved traction can opt for the all-wheel-drive upgrade for an additional €3,000, which reduces the estimated range to 531 km. This upgrade also allows for a tow package, available for an extra €811.

Ascending the trim levels, the Premium variant begins at €46,090 and includes all-wheel drive as standard. For early reservation holders eager to receive their vehicles upon launch, Rivian offers the Performance trim with the Launch Package priced at €49,500. This exclusive package includes features such as Autonomy+ software, the tow package, a unique key fob, and limited access to the Launch Green exterior paint. A fully equipped Performance trim with all options can reach a total price of €53,559.

Customizing the R2's exterior incurs additional costs and varying delivery timelines. The only standard paint color that doesn't incur extra charges is Silver. Choosing alternative colors adds between €900 and €1,700 to the final bill. Buyers should be prepared for longer waits for specific hues—Rivian will not offer the Forest Green option until late 2026, while the exclusive Borealis purple paint for the Performance trim will not be available until 2027.

Inside, the manufacturer includes a Dark interior theme as the standard option. A lighter theme, Coastal Cloud, will be available for an additional €900 later this year, excluding the base Standard trim. Wheel options vary by trim; the Standard trim features 19-inch wheels but can be upgraded to 20-inch bi-color carbon wheels for €900, while the Premium trim comes with standard 20-inch wheels and offers an upgrade to 21-inch Liquid Tungsten wheels for €1,700.

The Performance trim includes 21-inch wheels as standard but offers the option to replace them with 20-inch Black Sand wheels fitted with 32-inch BF Goodrich all-terrain tires for an additional €900. For added convenience, Rivian provides a compact spare tire package for €644, which features a jack and wheel chocks, and includes a dedicated storage space beneath the rear floor. This feature is uncommon in modern SUVs.

Technological enhancements include the Autonomy+ package for €2,100. It's important to note that Rivian currently does not equip these vehicles with LiDAR sensors and has no plans for future hardware retrofits. Production of the Rivian R2 commenced approximately three weeks ago at the assembly facility in Normal, Illinois. Company executives have confirmed efficient operations on the production line, with an estimated output of 20,000 to 25,000 vehicles by the end of 2026. A second assembly plant in Georgia is under development, with plans for an annual capacity of 300,000 vehicles.
