Google is introducing a new feature within Quick Share on Android that enables users to transfer files to iOS devices via QR code.
For those whose Android phones do not yet support AirDrop compatibility, this innovative QR code functionality provides a convenient alternative. iPhone users can easily scan the code to access and download the shared files.

This feature was unveiled at The Android Show: I/O Edition earlier this week. With just a scan of the QR code using the iPhone's Camera app, the chosen files are securely uploaded to the cloud, accompanied by a private download link.
Google emphasizes that the files transferred in this manner are protected by end-to-end encryption and will be available for download for a period of 24 hours. Additionally, the company assures that the generated link cannot be shared with others.
During The Android Show: I/O Edition, it was confirmed that this QR code-based file sharing capability will be available to all users by the end of June.
