During this year's Cannes Film Festival, DJI briefly took the spotlight to unveil the Osmo Pocket 4P, an upgraded version of the recently launched Osmo Pocket 4.

While the original Pocket 4 targets mainstream content creators and vloggers, the Pocket 4P is specifically designed for professional independent filmmakers. With robust yet compact hardware, the Pocket 4P aims to reduce the need for bulky filmmaking equipment, making it an ideal solution for filmmakers on the go. Although launch details remain sparse, DJI chose the prestigious Cannes Film Festival to introduce this exciting new product.
Although DJI has not provided extensive specifications, we can anticipate more details in the near future. As of now, we have vague assertions about a revamped main sensor that can capture a broader dynamic range. The zoom functionality has also seen improvements, enhancing portrait shots significantly. Additionally, new color reproduction algorithms are designed to render skin tones with greater accuracy.
On the topic of color, the compact camera supports 10-bit D-Log2 color profiles, which will allow for professional-grade color grading.
The enhanced sensor empowers the Pocket 4P to produce more detailed imagery in low-light conditions and indoor scenes, further broadening its appeal.
As expected, the camera is compatible with a wide array of DJI accessories that enhance stabilization, audio quality, and more.
However, DJI has not specified when the Osmo Pocket 4P will be available, leaving eager filmmakers to await further announcements on the company's official web store.
