Ayaneo has revealed new details regarding the shipping schedule of its Next 2 Windows gaming handheld, initially unveiled in December. The company confirmed that shipments to Indiegogo backers will commence in June.
Production of essential components such as the motherboard, screen, battery, and other critical parts has already begun, while non-critical components have been completed.
Ayaneo anticipates starting trial production of the Next 2 in early June, with mass production expected to begin in mid-June. If everything proceeds as planned, the first orders could ship by late June.
On March 23, Ayaneo stopped accepting new orders for the Next 2. Unfortunately, the company stated that it currently cannot guarantee additional production for new orders. Interested customers can reach out to customer service to register their preferences for configuration and color, and if conditions permit, Ayaneo may notify some customers of additional order opportunities in the future. However, they caution that they cannot promise anything beyond the current plan.
Additionally, Ayaneo announced that production of the Konkr Fit Windows handheld is set to begin by the end of this month, likely leading to shipments also taking place in June, should everything go smoothly.
