Ayaneo introduced the Next 2 Windows gaming handheld in December and has now provided an update on its shipping timeline. The company announced that the Next 2 will begin shipping in June to backers on Indiegogo.
Production of the essential components for the Next 2, including the motherboard, screen, battery, and other critical parts, is already underway. Non-essential components have been completed.
Ayaneo aims to commence trial production of the handheld in early June, followed by mass production in mid-June. Consequently, the first orders are expected to ship in late June, assuming the schedule proceeds as planned.
The company halted orders for the Next 2 on March 23 and currently cannot guarantee additional production for new orders. However, interested customers can reach out to the customer service team to register their preferred configuration and color option. Ayaneo has stated that it will notify select customers about potential additional order opportunities as circumstances allow, but it cannot make any promises beyond the current plan.
Additionally, Ayaneo announced that production of the Konkr Fit Windows handheld will begin by the end of this month, suggesting that it too may ship in June, given a favorable timeline.
