In recent times, the cost of Ultra-class smartphones has risen significantly, making them less accessible to many consumers. In last week’s poll, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra generated considerable interest, with two-thirds of participants expressing enthusiasm for the device; however, only half of those respondents felt it was within their budget. Notably, the X9 Ultra is not the priciest model available, although it does surpass the cost of most competitors.
To justify the €1,700 price, users are exploring trade-in offers, bonuses like the Hasselblad Earth Explorer Kit, and other incentives. Some are even considering alternative Ultra models, such as the more expensive vivo X300 Ultra, but this group remains a minority.
Interestingly, the Oppo Find X9s is in a precarious position, as the poll indicates a lack of interest from many voters (although this sentiment could shift with positive reviews and a price reduction). It's not the larger Find X9 stealing attention; rather, the diminutive Find X9s Pro poses a more significant competitive threat. Unfortunately, this mini flagship will only be available in China. A considerable third of voters have opted to explore other smartphones, indicating that even stellar reviews and attractive deals may not sway them towards the Oppo Find X9s.
Shortly after we conducted the poll, Oppo revealed plans for the launch of the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s in India on May 15, though we are still awaiting official pricing details. As a reference, the Find X9 is priced at ₹75,000, while the Find X9 Pro retails for ₹110,000.
