Xiaomi's Redmi Pad 2 9.7 has been officially announced, following its initial reveal in March. The tablet is now listed on the company’s websites for Malaysia and Singapore.

The latest model features a 9.7-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2048x1280, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. It is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 4G chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM and storage options of either 64GB or 128GB.

For photography, the tablet includes an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. It is equipped with a 7,600 mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging. While it ships with a 15W charger in Singapore, this may not be provided in Europe if the tablet becomes available there.

The Redmi Pad 2 9.7 operates on HyperOS 3 and has dimensions of 226.51 x 147.97 x 7.4 mm, weighing 406 grams. It is available in Silver and Graphite Gray, with two connectivity options: Wi-Fi-only or Wi-Fi+4G. In Singapore, the Wi-Fi-only version starts at SGD 229 ($179), while the Wi-Fi+4G model is priced at SGD 269 ($211). Currently, both versions in Malaysia have placeholder prices.
