Valve revealed the Steam Controller back in November, and it has finally disclosed the price and release date. The controller will be available on May 4 for $99 / €99 through the Steam store.

Equipped with magnetic thumbsticks, the Steam Controller offers a complete set of inputs designed for gaming across your entire Steam library. It features four haptic motors for high-definition feedback and includes an 8.39Wh battery, which provides over 35 hours of gameplay on a single charge.

The included Steam Controller Puck allows for a plug-and-play, low-latency wireless connection, as well as convenient magnetic charging. Additionally, the Steam Controller can be connected via Bluetooth and USB, so using the Puck is not mandatory.

Compatibility is broad: the Steam Controller works with Steam Machines, Windows, Mac, and Linux computers, as well as tablets and smartphones running the Steam or Steam Link app. It is also compatible with the Steam Deck, regardless of whether it is docked. Furthermore, the Steam Controller can be tracked by the Steam Frame's cameras, enabling gameplay of non-VR games on a virtual screen.
