In just two generations, vivo has significantly increased the battery capacity of its Y-series Pro smartphones. The Y400 Pro, launched last June, featured a 5,500mAh battery, which is fairly standard for mid-range devices today. The Y500 Pro, released in November, showcased a notable increase to 7,000mAh. However, the newly announced Y600 Pro surpasses both models with an impressive 10,200mAh Si-C battery.

This smartphone houses a substantial 38Wh battery, utilizing fourth-generation silicon anode technology, which contains 15% silicon and boasts an energy density of 886Wh/L.
Despite its impressive battery capacity, the Y600 Pro is not a bulky device. Vivo has managed to incorporate a 45% larger battery while only increasing the phone's thickness by 0.4mm compared to its predecessor. The Y600 Pro measures just 8.25mm thick, representing a modest 5% increase.

Thanks to its massive battery, vivo claims that the Y600 Pro can easily last over 24 hours on a single charge, with up to 47 hours of call time, 28 hours of video playback, or 16 hours of navigation. Moreover, thanks to battery health management optimizations, the Y600 Pro is expected to retain 80% of its capacity after 6 years of typical usage (1,600 charging cycles).

When it comes to charging, the Y600 Pro supports 90W charging speeds, consistent with the Y400 Pro, and features reverse wired charging, allowing the device to function as a portable power bank. Additionally, the Y600 Pro is rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance.
In other specifications, the device includes a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, a 32MP front-facing camera, and an optical fingerprint scanner.

The Y600 Pro is also the first smartphone to feature MediaTek's Dimensity 7300e chipset. This processor is nearly identical to the Dimensity 7300/7300X variants but utilizes a slightly less powerful Arm Mali-G610 MC2 GPU while enhancing power efficiency.
On the software side, the Y600 Pro runs OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16. It includes a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). Additionally, the second module on the back functions as an IR blaster, which is an unusual placement.

The vivo Y600 Pro is available in black, blue, gold, and violet color options. The base model with 8/128GB storage starts at CNY 2,099 (approximately $307/€263), while the top-tier 12/512GB version is priced at CNY 2,899 (around $424/€361).

The device is currently available for order from vivo's official online store in China, with shipments expected to begin on April 30.
