In terms of competition, the Galaxy Glasses will be directly up against the Meta Ray-Ban glasses but will run on the Android XR platform, complete with Gemini integration. More information about the Android XR platform is expected to be revealed at the upcoming Google I/O event next month.

For frame design, Samsung is collaborating with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster. The Galaxy Glasses are rumored to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon AR1 chipset, supporting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3. They are said to include a 155 mAh battery, a 12MP camera featuring the Sony IMX681 sensor, directional speakers, and weigh approximately 50g.

The official unveiling of the Galaxy Glasses may occur during Samsung's summer Unpacked event, likely scheduled for July, alongside the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, and Galaxy Z Fold Wide.
