Huawei recently introduced the Pura X Max, joining the competitive landscape of large foldable smartphones. This market is set to expand, especially with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide and the highly anticipated iPhone Ultra (also known as the iPhone Fold). Notably, these devices appear to be influenced by the iPhone Ultra, despite its absence in the market.
In the short video below, we have a side-by-side comparison of a dummy unit of the iPhone Ultra and the Huawei Pura X Max.
The form factors of both devices are strikingly similar, although they feature distinctly different camera island designs. Nevertheless, it's clear that the Pura X Max is positioned to directly compete with the iPhone Ultra upon its release.
Recent leaked schematics reveal that the iPhone Ultra unfolds to dimensions of 120.59 x 167.59 x 4.7 mm, while the Pura X Max measures 120 x 166.5 x 5.2 mm—indicating a close resemblance in size. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide, on the other hand, is slightly different, with unfolded measurements of 123.9 x 164.4 x 4.3 mm, making it narrower than the other two devices.
Thanks for the tip!
