Oppo Watch X3 Mini: A Compact and Stylish Smartwatch Option

Source: Date:

Oppo recently launched the Watch X3 in China, followed by the introduction of the Watch X3 Mini. As suggested by its name, this model features a smaller design, likely tailored to appeal to women, reflecting the common trend among smartwatch manufacturers. Its compact size may make it a more suitable choice for women compared to the larger 47mm Watch X3.

The Watch X3 Mini boasts a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466x466, a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, and is protected by a sapphire crystal. The watch dimensions are 43.2 x 43.2 x 11.18 mm, weighing 40.4g without the strap and between 58g and 60.6g with the strap depending on the choice.

Powered by a 354 mAh battery, Oppo claims the watch can run for up to 2.5 days in full smart mode, 1.5 days with the always-on display activated, and up to a week in power-saving mode. It is equipped with a Snapdragon Wear W5 SoC and supports eSIM, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, as well as single-band GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS.

The watch includes various sensors such as an accelerometer, gyro, geomagnetic sensor, barometer, optical heart rate monitor, pulse oximeter, wrist temperature sensor, and ambient light sensor. It features over 100 built-in sports modes, an AI sports coach, and is rated 5ATM and IP68 for water and dust resistance.

Available in gold, silver, and brown, the Oppo Watch X3 Mini is listed on the company's website for pre-order, with prices starting at CNY 1,799 ($263) without eSIM and CNY 1,999 ($293) with eSIM. Although it remains uncertain when or if this model will be launched internationally, the recent unveiling of the OnePlus Watch 4, rebranded from the Oppo Watch X3, raises the possibility of a OnePlus Watch 4 Mini in the future. Only time will tell.
