Verizon has established a portable private 5G network throughout the filming area, creating a fast and secure connection that operates independently of public networks. This setup enables the various cameras and communication devices used on set to function flawlessly with minimal latency. The network also supports Verizon's Edge AI platform, which is being utilized for the continuous filming process. Through computer vision technology, the system is able to identify footage featuring contestants, complete with timestamps and concise summaries.
Additionally, Verizon is rolling out a live data API to monitor contestants and camera crews in real time via a digital map. This feature allows directors to track the whereabouts of their team even from vast distances, streamlining the production process.
