Samsung solidified its position in the Latin American (LATAM) smartphone market in 2025, with four of the ten best-selling devices being Galaxy models. According to the latest Counterpoint Research report, the Galaxy A06 emerged as the best-selling smartphone in the region, representing 7% of all smartphone sales over the past year.

The Galaxy A16, Galaxy A15, and Galaxy A56 also made their mark by joining the ranks of the top ten best-sellers.

In third place, Motorola's Moto G15 gained notable traction. Additionally, two other Moto devices made the top ten: the Moto G05 in sixth place and the Moto G35 in eighth. Xiaomi's offerings included the fourth best-seller, Redmi 14C, as well as the seventh (Redmi A5) and tenth best-selling phones (Redmi Note 14 4G).

Another significant insight from the report is that 80% of the top ten best-selling phones in 2025 were 4G devices. The LATAM smartphone market continues to favor budget models, with most of the top ten smartphones averaging a selling price below $200.

Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina emerged as the largest markets in the region for 2025. Looking forward, global smartphone prices are anticipated to increase in 2026, likely resulting in extended replacement cycles and decreased demand in various regions, including LATAM. Conversely, this trend could promote faster adoption of 5G technology throughout the region.
