vivo is set to unveil the V70 series today at an event in New Delhi, India. This lineup includes the V70 and V70 Elite, with the latter being the first "Elite" model in vivo's V Series. The launch event will begin at 12 PM IST (6:30 AM UTC), and you can follow it by tuning into the stream below.
While vivo has yet to disclose the complete specifications for the V70 and V70 Elite, it has confirmed that the V70 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while the V70 Elite will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. This marks the first time Qualcomm chips have been used in vivo's V Series.
The design and color options for both smartphones have also been revealed. The V70 will be available in Passion Red and an exclusive Lemon Yellow, while the V70 Elite will come in Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black.
Furthermore, vivo has confirmed several features for the V70 Elite, including a 6.59-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and IP68 and IP69 ratings.
The V70 Elite will be equipped with a 6,500 mAh battery that supports 90W charging and multi-scenario bypass charging. For photography, the smartphone features a camera system co-developed with ZEISS, comprising a 50MP primary, a 50MP telephoto, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP selfie camera.
Running on Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box, the V70 Elite will also receive up to four OS version upgrades and six years of security updates.
