Apple’s upcoming budget-friendly iPhone is rumored to debut this month, with a potential announcement date of February 19. Although officially unconfirmed, YouTuber Jon Prosser has provided a sneak peek at the iPhone 17e.
The video, shared by Prosser, features the iPhone 17e equipped with Dynamic Island and MagSafe charging capabilities.
However, recent leaks indicate that Apple may opt to omit the Dynamic Island on this model, likely retaining the notch seen on the iPhone 16e.
In terms of aesthetics, the iPhone 17e is expected to closely resemble its predecessor, though it might introduce new color options. It is anticipated to be powered by the A19 SoC and feature a single 48MP rear camera.
Should the iPhone 17e include the Dynamic Island, it is likely to have an upgraded 18MP square selfie camera.
The device is rumored to keep the 6.1-inch 60Hz display and the 4,000mAh battery found in the 16e. However, it may also incorporate the new C1X modem and N1 wireless network chipset for enhanced connectivity.
Prosser estimates that the iPhone 17e will start at $599 for the 128GB variant. If the launch rumors hold true, we can expect official details about the phone next week.
