Source: Date:

While Sony recently announced its LinkBuds Clip earbuds, many fans are eagerly anticipating the debut of the next flagship model in the WF-1000X series. A recent leak offers an initial glimpse of the WF-1000XM6, along with pricing information.

The WF-1000XM6 was spotted in a Thai retailer’s listing, which has since been removed. This leak reveals an updated design for the earbuds, which appear wider than their predecessors and feature an all-matte finish.

An additional grille on the earbud casing suggests the inclusion of an extra external microphone. If confirmed, this would mean the WF-1000XM6 could house three external microphones along with one internal, totaling four microphones per earbud. In contrast, the current WF-1000XM5s have three mics on each side.

While the listing lacked detailed specifications, it did confirm an IPX4 rating for the earbuds. They also appear to feature foam ear tips similar to those of their predecessors.

The charging case showcases an updated design, resembling a rounded rectangular prism with a matte finish. It seems to be available in at least two colors: black and silver.

The listing included a suggested retail price of THB 11,990, which translates to approximately $380/€322. For context, the WF-1000XM5 launched at $300/€320 back in 2023. While Sony has not officially confirmed any details about the WF-1000XM6, this listing implies that their launch may be imminent.
