Details regarding this project are scarce, but it was reportedly undertaken by an electronics store in Shenzhen's Huaqiangbei market.
To accommodate the physical SIM slot, the project required innovative space-saving techniques. One significant change involved replacing the original Taptic Engine vibration motor with a more compact variant that still provides essential haptic feedback. The additional space enabled the team to install a SIM card reader alongside the physical SIM slot.
