Honor recently unveiled the Magic8 Pro Air and the Magic8 RSR Porsche Edition in China. Alongside these new smartphones, the company introduced the Watch GS 5, the successor to the Watch GS 3.

The Honor Watch GS 5 boasts a 1.32-inch circular AMOLED display with an impressive brightness of 1,500 nits. It features a 44mm case made from aluminum alloy, while the back is constructed from reinforced polymer fiber.

Weighing only 26g and measuring 9.9mm in thickness, the smartwatch includes a single side button and is rated IP68 with a water resistance of 5ATM. Users can choose between black or khaki leather straps.

Honor claims the Watch GS 5 is the only smartwatch in the industry to support research for sudden cardiac arrest screening while providing cardiovascular risk assessments. Additionally, the company offers telephone follow-ups for users identified as high risk by its research team.

The watch offers early warnings for conditions such as atrial fibrillation, sleep apnea, premature heartbeats, and irregular heart rhythms. It also provides 24/7 monitoring for blood oxygen levels, stress, sleep HRV, and heart rate.

Equipped with a 495mAh silicon-carbon battery, the Watch GS 5 delivers up to 23 days of usage without always-on display (AOD) and around 9 days with AOD enabled.

The smartwatch supports Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and five satellite positioning systems. It includes a built-in microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calling and comes with 4GB of internal storage. The Watch GS 5 is compatible with smartphones running Android 6.0 or later, as well as iOS 9.0 and above.

The Watch GS 5 is currently available for pre-order in China, with sales set to begin on January 23, priced at CNY 699 ($100).
