Thin and lightweight smartphones are engineering marvels, but they often come with trade-offs in camera quality and battery capacity. The Magic8 Pro Air by Honor aims to challenge this notion, positioning itself as a competitor to the iPhone Air and other recent slim Android models.

What sets Honor apart is the Magic8 Pro Air’s premium specifications, which include a triple camera system with a dedicated telephoto lens, a robust 5,500mAh battery, and a display optimized for one-handed operation.

The Honor Magic8 Pro is exceptionally slim, thanks to its re-engineered chassis.

In contrast to its major competitors, the 8 Pro Air boasts a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1,216 x 2,640 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and peak brightness reaching up to 6,000 nits. It also features a 50MP front camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Its design includes an aluminum frame and glass back, with stereo speakers and a Nano SIM slot accommodating dual cards. Additionally, it supports eSIM functionality and holds an IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.

On the rear, the device features a camera visor housing three sensors. The primary sensor is a 50MP shooter equivalent to 23mm, showcasing a large 1/1.3-inch sensor, ƒ/1.6 aperture, and optical image stabilization (OIS). Accompanying it is a 64MP periscope telephoto lens equivalent to 74mm, featuring a 1/1.2-inch sensor, ƒ/2.6 aperture, 3.2x optical zoom, and OIS. The third module is a 50MP ultrawide lens equivalent to 16mm, which also serves as a macro shooter.
