Honor has officially launched the Magic8 RSR Porsche Design in China, alongside the Magic8 Pro Air. This new entry expands the Magic lineup, complementing the Magic8 Pro and standard Magic8, which debuted in October of last year.
Continuing the tradition of previous Honor RSR Porsche Design models, the latest Magic8 showcases a unique design inspired by iconic Porsche supercars. It features a nano-ceramic rear panel boasting a Mohs hardness rating of 8.5.

Moreover, the Magic8 RSR Porsche Design is reported to be 10% lighter than its predecessor. The camera module design draws inspiration from the matrix headlights found on classic Porsche vehicles.
The device sports a 6.71-inch quad-curved LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak HDR brightness of 6,000 nits. It also supports Dolby Vision and features 4,320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, all protected by Giant Rhino Glass.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, offering configurations of up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It operates on Android 16-based Magic UI 10.0, enriched with various AI features.
For its camera system, the Magic8 RSR Porsche Design includes a 50MP 1/1.3-inch main rear sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and OIS. The ultrawide shots are handled by another 50MP sensor with a 122-degree field of view, also allowing for macro photography. For zoom capabilities, it features a 200MP 1/1.4-inch sensor with an f/2.6 aperture, OIS, and 3.7x optical zoom.

Honor emphasizes that this phone achieves the first-ever CIPA 6.5 rating for stabilization. It also includes an AiMAGE color engine and supports an external 200mm telephoto lens from Nox.

For selfies, the phone features a 50MP sensor situated within a pill-shaped cutout on the front, which also houses a 3D depth camera for Face Unlock capability.

The smartphone is equipped with a robust 7,200mAh battery that supports 120W SuperCharge (wired) and 80W wireless charging. Additional features include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, an infrared sensor, IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC. The device weighs 239g and has a thickness of 8.45mm.
The Magic8 RSR Porsche Edition comes in Moonstone and Slate Gray color options. The base model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at CNY 7,999 (approximately $1,150), while the higher-end 24GB/1TB variant retails for CNY 8,999 (about $1,290).
