Sony to Unveil Next-Gen LinkBuds Earbuds at Upcoming Audio Launch Event

Source: Date:

Sony is poised to host an audio-themed product launch event on January 21, showcasing the anticipated next-generation LinkBuds earbuds, rather than the much-awaited WF-1000XM6 flagship model. The livestream event will commence at 4 PM UTC (8 AM PST) on YouTube.

While the teaser cleverly obscures the product's design, a closer look reveals the earbuds are designed to be worn around the ear of the model featured in the thumbnail.

The tagline, “Discover a new form of listening,” suggests that the earbuds may have an unconventional design, departing from the traditional in-ear style.

Insights from Dealabs indicate that Sony is likely to unveil its LinkBuds Clip (WF-LC900), which will feature an open-ear design that secures the buds around the earlobe. An Indonesian retailer sparked excitement by revealing the design and key specifications of LinkBuds Clip, which are expected to include adaptive volume control, 360 Reality Audio support, and background music effects available on previous LinkBuds models.
