iQOO has officially launched its latest Neo series smartphone in China, and the new model is clearly aimed at users who want high-end performance, long battery life, and gaming-focused hardware. The iQOO Neo12 combines a massive 9,000mAh battery with a 185Hz 2K AMOLED display, an active cooling fan, and flagship-level processing power.
At the core of the iQOO Neo12 is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. To keep temperatures under control during intense use, the phone includes a custom 59-blade internal fan. iQOO claims the fan boosts airflow by about 10%, while a large 3D Ice Dome vapor chamber further improves heat dissipation.
The front of the device features a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel developed by Visionox. The display supports p-TSF technology, delivers a sharp 2K resolution, and offers a fast 185Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches up to 2,200 nits, and a dedicated display chip helps manage visual tasks.
For gamers, iQOO has added its in-house Q3 gaming chipset. This chip enables ray-tracing support in select games, provides 2K resolution upscaling, and includes frame-rate interpolation for smoother gameplay.
The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor with optical image stabilization, paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone offers a 16MP front-facing camera.
One of the biggest highlights is the 9,000mAh battery, which supports 100W wired fast charging. The smartphone also includes an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, infrared sensor, stereo speakers, and an IP69 rating for durability.
The iQOO Neo12 is available in Contender, Frost Blade Blue, and Shadow Black. It is now on sale in China, with the base 12GB/256GB model priced at CNY 4,199 ($630). The 12GB/512GB version costs CNY 4,899 ($735), while the 16GB/256GB variant is listed at CNY 4,599 ($690). Higher-end options include the 16GB/512GB model at CNY 5,299 ($825) and the 16GB/1TB version at CNY 6,299 ($945).
