vivo X500 Pro Review Unit Arrives: Compact Flagship With Big Battery and Premium Extras

Source: Date:

Introduction

The vivo X500 lineup has only just begun its global rollout, and the X500 Pro is already in for review. It arrives alongside the larger X500 Pro Max, while the standard X500 is currently not expected to make its way to Europe.

The lineup has an unusual size hierarchy. The X500 Pro Max sits at the top with a massive 6.85-inch display, the regular X500 lands in the middle with a 6.59-inch screen, and the X500 Pro takes the compact role with a 6.36-inch panel.

What’s in the box?

Unlike some rivals, the global version of the vivo X500 Pro does not include a charger in the package. Instead, buyers get a protective case and a USB-A to USB-C cable. The faster 90W charger appears to be limited to the Pro Max variant.

The bundled case follows vivo’s familiar approach: soft rubber, a finish that matches the phone’s colour, and improved protection overall. A fresh touch is the small cutout around the camera module that exposes the lens markings. Once attached, the case makes the device feel more secure in hand while adding a subtle sense of durability.

Design and first impressions

Even with its relatively compact screen, the X500 Pro does not come across as a small phone. It feels dense and solid, partly because of the large 6,510mAh battery packed inside.

The device carries a proper flagship feel throughout. It features a premium build with IP68 and IP69 protection, is powered by the 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, and comes with 12GB of RAM. The camera hardware is also high-end, although it sits just below the Pro Max, which benefits from a more advanced zoom sensor.
