RedMagic has officially shared the rollout plan for RedMagic OS 12, its latest software platform built on Android 17. The new operating system first arrived with the RedMagic 12 Pro+ last week, and now the company has confirmed which older devices will receive the upgrade and when users can expect it.

The update process will begin in December with the RedMagic 11 Pro and 11S Pro series. In January, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will be next in line. By March, the update will expand to the RedMagic 10 Pro and 10S Pro series, the RedMagic 11 Air, and the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro. Finally, the RedMagic 10 Air is scheduled to receive RedMagic OS 12 in April.

RedMagic OS 12 introduces a refreshed visual design highlighted by a large clock on the home screen. It also adds several AI-powered features, including AI Magic Island and a smarter assistant with memory capabilities. Other additions include one-tap file transfers compatible with Apple devices, a redesigned game space that adjusts to each game’s theme, and an esports training section with built-in shooting and reaction exercises.

The update also brings version 3.0 of the X-Gravity platform, which improves cloud gaming, console streaming, and the ability to play mobile games on a larger display. However, RedMagic notes that this rollout timeline currently applies only to devices in China, with global release details still pending.
