OnePlus Buds Clip Arrive as Open-Ear Earbuds with Dual Drivers and 40-Hour Battery

OnePlus has quietly stepped into the open-ear audio category with the debut of its first clip-on earbuds, the OnePlus Buds Clip. Although OnePlus smartphones have a more limited presence in several Western markets, the company’s newest earbuds are expected to reach select global regions after appearing on its official international site.

Dynaudio-tuned dual-driver sound

The Buds Clip focus heavily on audio hardware, pairing an 11mm woofer with a 9mm tweeter in each earbud. OnePlus also includes dual DACs and sound tuning by Danish audio specialist Dynaudio. Codec support includes LHDC 5.0, AAC, and SBC, while Bluetooth 6.1 handles connectivity and allows the earbuds to stay connected to two devices at the same time.

Lightweight design with AI features

Each earbud weighs just 5.2 grams and uses an adaptive nickel-titanium C-bridge designed for long-wearing comfort. The earbuds carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. For calls and smart features, OnePlus equips the Buds Clip with six bone-conduction microphones, a dedicated AI audio chip, and an on-device translation feature.

Reduced sound leakage and long battery life

To limit audio leakage, OnePlus uses Dipole Sound-Field technology, which emits reverse sound waves through rear vents to help keep music private. The company also promises up to 40 hours of total battery life, making the Buds Clip suitable for long days, travel, and regular workouts.

Colors and availability

The OnePlus Buds Clip are offered in pearl white, twilight rose, and pebble gray. Pricing and launch timing have not yet been disclosed.
