Introduction: RedMagic has confirmed the release plan for RedMagic OS 12, its newest software platform built on Android 17. After launching with the RedMagic 12 Pro+ last week, the company has now detailed which current RedMagic smartphones and tablets will receive the upgrade and when users in China can expect it.

According to the announced schedule, the RedMagic 11 Pro and 11S Pro series will be the first existing devices to receive RedMagic OS 12, with the rollout starting in December. The RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is next, with availability planned for January.

In March, the update will expand to the RedMagic 10 Pro and 10S Pro series, the RedMagic 11 Air, and the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro. The RedMagic 10 Air will complete the listed rollout in April.

RedMagic OS 12 introduces a refreshed visual style, highlighted by a large clock on the interface. The update also adds several AI-powered tools, including an AI Magic Island feature and a new assistant designed to remember user context. Other additions include quick file transfers that support Apple devices, a redesigned game space that changes based on each game’s theme, and an esports training section with built-in shooting and reaction exercises.

The software also upgrades RedMagic’s X-Gravity platform to version 3.0, improving cloud gaming, console streaming, and the ability to play mobile titles on larger displays. However, the published timeline currently applies only to China, and RedMagic has not yet announced when global models will receive the update.
