At the 2026 Paris Motor Show, Peugeot made a splash with the unveiling of two cutting-edge all-electric concept cars: the RCZ Vision and the E-T16. Drawing from the brand's iconic past while ushering in a new era of design and technology, these concept vehicles showcase Peugeot's commitment to future mobility.

The RCZ Vision revives the beloved double-bubble roof design, paying homage to its predecessor, the original RCZ. While Peugeot isn't planning a production-ready RCZ just yet, this concept vehicle serves as a guiding vision for the company’s future design and technological advancements. Featuring the new Feline Future design language, the RCZ Vision symbolizes the direction Peugeot is headed.

Powered by a 1,000V platform, the all-electric Peugeot RCZ concept utilizes an impressively slim solid-state battery (110 mm) developed by Factorial Energy. With an energy consumption of just 11.5 kWh/100 km, this innovative setup boasts a range of up to 373 miles on a single charge.

Charging capabilities are equally impressive, with the vehicle able to move from 10 to 80% charge in just 10 minutes, thanks to its high-voltage architecture.

Performance-wise, Peugeot claims that the RCZ Vision can produce an exhilarating 500 hp. While specifics about the drivetrain remain sparse, it is likely that the vehicle features an all-wheel drive configuration.

Inside the RCZ Vision, the minimalist interior prioritizes simplicity and focus, highlighted by just two small screens to minimize distractions. Peugeot aims for a streamlined experience rather than overwhelming drivers with screens.

Featuring innovative steer-by-wire technology and a uniquely designed steering wheel, the concept also incorporates brake-by-wire technology for enhanced braking modulation and regenerative braking efficiency.

Peugeot E-T16 Concept

Distinct from the RCZ Vision, the Peugeot E-T16 concept is much closer to production feasibility. Some design elements and technologies showcased in this vehicle are set to make their way into future Peugeot models.

Visually, the E-T16 takes cues from the iconic 205 T16, flaunting widened fenders, an imposing rear wing, and bold bodywork.

The high-performance hatchback achieves a remarkable 0 to 180 km/h in just 16 seconds and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.5 seconds, powered by three electric motors that deliver a peak output of 815 hp, marking it as the fastest model Peugeot has ever built.

Other notable features include advanced torque vectoring across both axles, three selectable driving modes, and an additional customizable mode. With 380-mm brake discs enhancing stopping power, the E-T16 is engineered for thrilling performance, complete with a vertically mounted hydraulic handbrake in its interior.

Peugeot has also developed an innovative battery cooling system optimized for endurance, which effectively removes heat from the battery's sides to maintain power output across three laps of the Nurburgring Nordschleife without any decrease in performance.

Similar to the RCZ Vision, the E-T16 incorporates steer-by-wire technology along with an advanced rectangular steering wheel known as Hypersquare, which is set to feature in the upcoming E-208 model as well.
