Huawei has unveiled its latest iteration in the health-centric Watch D series, the Watch D3. With a slew of enhancements over its predecessor, the Watch D2, this model promises to elevate user experience and health tracking capabilities. Let’s dive into what you can expect from this innovative smartwatch.
Upon unboxing the Watch D3, you’ll find a familiar yet upgraded set of accessories. The magnetic wireless charging dock now features a convenient USB-C connection, replacing the outdated USB-A of the previous model. Additionally, the package includes an M-sized strap equipped with an integrated airbag for precise blood pressure monitoring, a handy wrist circumference ruler, and, of course, the watch itself.
The enhancements in the Watch D3 are quite significant. It boasts a larger display at 1.92 inches, offering improved visibility compared to the 1.82-inch display of the D2, alongside a brightness increase from 1,500 nits to an impressive 3,000 nits. Furthermore, the watch case has been slimmed down to 11.3mm, making it lighter and more comfortable on the wrist.
From a tactile perspective, the Watch D3 retains the premium feel of its predecessor while maintaining a lightweight profile. While the D2's susceptibility to scratches was noted, we will evaluate whether Huawei has made strides in durability with this new model.
Battery performance remains solid, with an impressive endurance of around 6 days when the always-on display is enabled, and even extending to 10 days without it. With the Watch D3 featuring a slightly larger battery, there is hope for even better longevity.
