Oppo is set to expand its smartphone portfolio with the introduction of the Reno X, a new wide candybar device that has garnered attention due to several recent leaks. Designed as a competitive offering in a market that’s increasingly emphasizing unique form factors, the Reno X draws inspiration from the innovative design of the Huawei Pura X View.
According to a recent tipster on X, the Oppo Reno X is expected to feature an impressive 6.35-inch flat display with a fluid 120Hz refresh rate, boasting either a 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio. In comparison, the Huawei Pura X View utilizes a 5:3 aspect ratio, indicating a notable shift in design philosophy for Oppo.
Under the hood, the Reno X will reportedly be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000-series chipset, ensuring robust performance. On the camera front, users can anticipate a significant 200MP primary sensor equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultrawide lens, and another 200MP periscope telephoto lens, marking Oppo's commitment to high-quality photography.
The device is also rumored to come with a premium metal frame, setting it apart from typical mid-range devices in Oppo's Reno lineup—notably distinct from the flagship Find series. Furthermore, it may house a colossal 7,000 mAh battery, promising extended usage without frequent charging.
