Google has taken a significant step in the wearables market with the launch of the Fitbit Edge, an innovative fitness tracker that stands as a versatile alternative to both the Pixel Watch 5 and the screenless Fitbit Air. With a sleek design and a range of impressive features, the Fitbit Edge is designed to cater to fitness enthusiasts who want essential functionalities without the bulk of a smartwatch.
The Fitbit Edge boasts a vibrant 1.34-inch AMOLED display that includes an always-on feature for increased accessibility. Measuring just 11.5mm in thickness and weighing a mere 17.7 grams without its band, this lightweight tracker combines style and functionality.

Navigation through the interface is made easy with a physical button located on the right side of the device. Unlike its counterpart, the Pixel Watch 5, the Fitbit Edge operates on a custom tile-based interface that offers glanceable complications, ensuring users have quick access to vital information.
In addition, the interface supports critical features such as Google Maps, media controls, call notifications, quick replies, alarms, and timers, along with comprehensive health and fitness tracking capabilities, including step counts, weather updates, sleep monitoring, and heart rate data.

The Fitbit Edge excels in fitness tracking, supporting over 50 exercise modes. Users can benefit from real-time guidance, GPS tracking, and automatic activity monitoring for a seamless workout experience.
Equipped with advanced health monitoring technologies, the Fitbit Edge features red and infrared sensors for blood oxygen (SpO2) measurements, electrical sensors for ECG readings, a PPG optical heart-rate sensor, and a far field skin temperature sensor, providing a comprehensive view of one’s health.

Powered by the Ambiq AP5 MCU and supported by 64MB of NOR flash memory, the Fitbit Edge holds an impressive IP68 rating, making it water resistant up to 50 meters. A compact 65mAh battery promises up to 7 days of usage on a single charge under normal usage conditions.

The Google Fitbit Edge is set to make waves in the market with its pre-order availability priced at $180. Customers can choose from several stylish color combinations including Matte Black Aluminum with an Obsidian band, Satin Silver Aluminum with a Fog band, Satin Pyrite Aluminum with an Olive band, and Champagne Gold with a Canyon band.

For fans of basketball, Google is also rolling out a Stephen Curry Special Edition of the Fitbit Edge, featuring a unique Satin Pyrite Aluminum case along with an exclusive band priced at $220.
The Google Fitbit Edge will officially launch on October 27, inviting fitness enthusiasts to upgrade their tracking experience.
