One UI 9 Update Rolls Out for Galaxy S25, Z Fold7, and Z Flip7

Samsung has officially begun rolling out the One UI 9 update for its latest Galaxy devices. Following the successful introduction of this version with the Galaxy S26 series earlier this month, users of the Galaxy S25 series as well as the Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 can now enjoy the enhanced features and improvements that come with One UI 9, which is built on Android 17.

Reports from users in South Korea indicate that Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra owners received notifications for the update today. Notably, users who did not partake in the beta program are also seeing the update. If the rollout schedule mirrors that of the S26 series, those in the US should expect notifications soon, potentially by next week.

Meanwhile, users who participated in the One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 are now upgrading to the stable release. The stable update is expected to reach users who did not join the beta program in due time.

According to Tarun Vats, who is closely monitoring the update releases, the build version for the Galaxy S25 series is S938NKSUCDZIF, and the update itself is around 3.9GB. Users of the Galaxy Z Fold7 can look for build version F966NKSUCCZIH, which is a smaller download of approximately 500MB. However, users updating from One UI 8.5 should anticipate a larger download size.

This timely release aligns with announcements made by Samsung Thailand, which stated that the Galaxy S25 and Z series would begin receiving One UI 9 on September 28. In addition, while the Galaxy S23 FE and other S23 variants were expected to get updates by October, this timeline has since shifted to "later this year".
