Motorola Unveils Specs for the Upcoming Razr Flex Foldable Phone

Excitement is building in the tech community as Motorola gears up to launch its latest innovation: the Razr Flex foldable phone. Following recent leaks and teasers from the company, we now have a clearer picture of this highly-anticipated device, which is set to push the boundaries of smartphone design. Earlier this month, sketches surfaced that hinted at Motorola's forthcoming wide foldable device. Soon after, the company confirmed its existence through teasing posts. Recent leaks have revealed both the specs and an internal name for the device, which is currently known as Razr Flex. While this name may not be the final branding, it hints at a fresh direction for the famed Razr line. Interestingly, the codename for the device is noted to be Parker.

The Razr Flex boasts a remarkable 6.92-inch inner OLED folding display with a 2364x1728 resolution and an impressive 165Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it features a 4.97-inch OLED cover display that offers a resolution of 1140x1736. Powering this innovative device is the advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, with no additional options available.

In terms of dimensions, the Razr Flex measures 110 x 149 x 5.8 mm when unfolded and 110 x 76 x 12.6 mm when folded. It is equipped with a robust camera system, including a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens on the back, and two 32MP selfie cameras—one for each display. A substantial 5,000 mAh battery with support for 25W wireless charging promises ample power for daily use, and the device is expected to weigh around 215g.

Available colors are anticipated to include Pantone Coriander and Pantone Dark Botanical Garden. The Razr Flex features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button for added security. Furthermore, it boasts IP48 and IP49 ratings for dust and water resistance, ensuring durability in various environments. To top it off, the Razr Flex will launch with Android 17 out of the box, expected to arrive mid-December.
