In an exciting development for luxury car enthusiasts, BYD's premium brand, Yangwang, is reportedly working on a new executive sedan dubbed "Hu." This luxury offering promises to elevate BYD's portfolio and compete with established players in the high-end market.
The Yangwang "Hu" has recently been spotted on the streets of China, albeit heavily camouflaged to keep its design under wraps. Early glimpses suggest that the sedan is quite substantial in size, aligning with its targeted luxury market segment.

Reports indicate that the front design of the Hu may closely resemble that of the Yangwang U8. With an impressive length of around 5,500 mm, the sedan features rear-hinged coach doors reminiscent of those found on Rolls-Royce vehicles. Additionally, the inclusion of a LiDAR system on the roof enhances its technological edge. Notably, one image showcases the sedan alongside a BYD MW Flash Charging Station, hinting at its compatibility with BYD’s latest fast-charging technologies.

The anticipated starting price for the Hu is likely to exceed CNY 2 million (approximately €254,400 at current exchange rates). This positions it well above competitors such as the Huawei-backed Maextro S800, which has a starting price of CNY 708,000 (€89,600).
