In an exciting development for smartphone enthusiasts, Samsung plans to launch its next-generation Galaxy S27 series, featuring the cutting-edge M16 OLED panel specifically in the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra models. This new display technology promises notable enhancements, including increased brightness, improved energy efficiency, extended lifespan, and superior color accuracy.
Interestingly, the M16 OLED panel will not exclusively debut with the Galaxy S27 series. Both Samsung and iQOO have recently announced that the upcoming iQOO 16 will also utilize this advanced display technology. Furthermore, it’s reported that the forthcoming iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Duo models will also be equipped with the M16 OLED panel.
As for the standard Galaxy S27 and S27+ models, they are expected to utilize the M14 OLED panel. Nevertheless, this represents an upgrade over the M13 panels used in their predecessors, the Galaxy S26 and S26+ models.
Additionally, sources suggest similar upgrades are in store for the Galaxy Z Fold9 series, which looks set to transition to a panel beyond the M13 OLEDs.
