Xiaomi has recently announced that the Redmi Note 17 will feature a 7-inch display, a size once typical of tablets rather than smartphones. The device will be equipped with an 8,000mAh battery, which, while substantial, is smaller compared to the 9,000mAh battery found in the Redmi Note 17 Pro.

A display card, shared by Android Treasure, revealed additional specifications. Notably, the phone will support 45W fast wired charging and 22.5W reverse charging, while the Pro model will support up to 67W charging.

The large display will be protected by some version of Gorilla Glass and will reach a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. In terms of durability, the phone has an IP65 rating, which is lower than the IP69K rating of the Pro version. It's important to note that these specifications are for the Chinese model, and it is unclear how many will carry over to the global variant.

The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, a recent entry-level 5G processor manufactured using a 4nm technology. The display card did not specify RAM and storage options, but a Geekbench result indicated that it might feature 12GB of RAM.

In terms of photography, official images reveal that the phone will include a single 50MP camera equipped with AI capabilities. Additionally, it will feature stereo speakers that offer a 200% volume boost.
