We anticipated either PC or console would claim the second position, but tablets surprisingly took that spot. While many users have older tablets primarily for streaming services like Netflix and Facebook, these devices are often not powerful enough to handle modern gaming demands. PC gaming secured a close third place, which includes both desktop computers and laptops. Based on user comments, laptops seem to be the preferred choice for gaming PCs today. While some laptop hardware has been adapted for use in handheld consoles, these devices remain relatively uncommon.
Traditional consoles continue to hold popularity; however, our audience tends to favor PC gaming. There are also ARM-powered handheld devices available, although most users opt for tablets for a larger screen gaming experience. Some low-power handhelds are utilized as emulation machines for classic games.
Game streaming services had minimal representation on the poll, and as expected, VR gaming remains a niche interest. While we anticipated VR to be near the bottom of the list, we were surprised to find it ranking higher than game streaming.
