Samsung recently rolled out the stable One UI 8.5 update based on Android 16 for the Galaxy A24 4G, and the company has now begun testing One UI 9, which is based on Android 17, for this device.
A One UI 9 build for the Galaxy A24 4G, identified by firmware version A245FXXUCGZF4, has been located on Samsung's servers. However, the timeline for the release of either the One UI 9 beta or the stable update for this smartphone remains unclear.
Thus far, the only smartphones to receive the One UI 9 beta are the Galaxy S26 series, despite Samsung's ongoing work on One UI 9 for a range of devices.
While the expansion of the One UI 9 beta program to additional devices is still uncertain, it is known that Samsung's upcoming foldable smartphones—the Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra—are expected to be the first to ship with One UI 9 pre-installed, with a launch event rumored for July 22 in London.
