The all-new iX5 is built on the innovative Neue Klasse platform and features a design that incorporates elements from the iX3 but elevates it with unique double X-shaped headlights, hidden door handles integrated into the pillars, and sleek window seals.

Currently, BMW has announced one version of the iX5, the iX5 60 AWD, set to launch in early 2027. This model is powered by two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 570 hp (804 Nm) and enabling a swift acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds.

This configuration will feature BMW's largest battery to date, with a capacity of 144 kWh, providing a remarkable cruising range of 700 km according to EPA estimates. While this range is noteworthy, potential buyers may question the overall weight of the vehicle.

Built on an 800V architecture, the iX5 supports rapid charging at 460 kW, allowing the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in only 22 minutes. For those in a hurry, a quick 10-minute charge offers an additional range of 274 km. The iX5 also supports bidirectional charging.
