Samsung recently rolled out the stable Android 16-based One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy A25, and now the company has commenced testing One UI 9 for the device.
The test build of One UI 9, based on Android 17, has been identified on Samsung's server under firmware version A256BXXUCFZF1. However, users should not anticipate access to the One UI 9 beta on the Galaxy A25 in the near future.
Currently, the One UI 9 beta is exclusively available for the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. Samsung has also indicated that the first devices to ship with One UI 9 pre-installed will be its forthcoming foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
These foldables are expected to be unveiled at a special event in London on July 22.
