A leak late last month suggested that the Redmi Note 17 series would debut in China in July. Redmi has now officially confirmed that the new Note lineup will indeed launch this month.
The announcement was made during a milestone celebration for the Redmi Note series. In a Weibo post, the company revealed that global sales of the Redmi Note lineup have surpassed 500 million units.

Notably, the Redmi Note lineup has been available for about 12 years. The Redmi Note 17 series will succeed the Note 15 lineup from the previous year and will feature enhancements in performance, display, battery life, and more.
The Redmi Note 17 is expected to be equipped with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, a flat display with a 1.5K resolution, a 50MP main rear camera, and a 9,000mAh battery. Conversely, the Note 17 Pro is rumored to feature a Dimensity 7500 SoC, a 10,000mAh battery, and a 200MP main rear sensor.
