Today in China, Redmi officially unveiled the K90 Ultra, concluding months of leaks and speculation surrounding the device. The K90 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, complemented by a built-in active cooling fan designed to reduce temperatures by up to 10°C, ensuring that extended gaming sessions do not lead to performance throttling. Additionally, it features a standalone D2 interpolation chip tailored for gaming.
Equipped with a 6.83-inch 1280x2772 flat AMOLED display, the K90 Ultra boasts a refresh rate of 165Hz, a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, and full-array DC dimming. The camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization using a 1/1.55" sensor, alongside an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 20MP front-facing camera.

Powering the device is an 8,550mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. The K90 Ultra includes a 100W GaN charger in the package. Audio is delivered through dual symmetrical stereo speakers tuned by Bose, and the device boasts IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It operates on HyperOS 3, which is based on Android 16.
The K90 Ultra is available in three colors: Space Silver, Shadow Black, and Sky Blue. Pricing starts at CNY 2,999 ($441) for the model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with a current promotion offering 16GB of RAM for the same price. The typical price for the 16GB version is CNY 3,199 ($470). There are also variants featuring 12GB RAM and 512GB storage priced at CNY 3,499 ($515) and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage at CNY 3,699 ($544).
It's unlikely that the Redmi K90 Ultra will be available internationally; however, there is potential for a similar device to be launched under the Poco brand in the coming months. Please manage your expectations.
