OnePlus N6: Charging Speed and Chipset Details Confirmed Ahead of Launch

OnePlus is set to unveil the OnePlus N6 on June 30, marking the launch of its new N Series. The company has already showcased the N6 in two colors and confirmed that it will feature an impressive 8,000 mAh battery. Recently, OnePlus announced the device's fast charging capabilities.

In a post on X, OnePlus India revealed that the N6 will support 45W SuperVOOC charging, allowing for up to 1.7 hours of video playback from just a 5-minute charge. Additionally, a video shared by OnePlus indicates that the N6 will likely support reverse wired charging, although the charging speed for external devices remains unclear.

While OnePlus has not yet disclosed further specifications and features of the N6, a device with the model designation CPH2955, believed to be the N6, has appeared on Geekbench, revealing key specifications.

Multiple Geekbench listings for the CPH2955 indicate that the device is running Android 16, equipped with 6GB of RAM and powered by MediaTek's MT6835 octa-core processor.

The MT6835 is linked to MediaTek's Dimensity 6100+ and Dimensity 6300 systems-on-chip (SoC). The CPH2955 utilizes the Dimensity 6300, as it boasts two Cortex-A76 cores clocked up to 2.4GHz, whereas the Dimensity 6100+'s A76 cores are clocked at a maximum of 2.2GHz. Both SoCs are equipped with six Cortex-A55 cores, with a maximum clock speed of 2GHz.

As of now, the CPH2955 has achieved a highest single-core score of 788 and a multi-core score of 2029 on Geekbench.

With the official announcement still more than a week away, it is expected that OnePlus will reveal additional details about the N6 in the upcoming days.
