Dacia has officially announced the name of its next all-electric vehicle, the second-generation Spring, which retains the name of its predecessor. This new model will be produced in Europe at the same factory that manufactures the upcoming Renault Twingo, and it is expected to share some features with that model. Below is the brand's teaser video showcasing various aspects of the new car's exterior.
Dacia states that the new Spring "opens a new chapter for the brand while building on the continuity of a model that has become a benchmark." An image released by the company reveals a portion of the new car's rear design.

Since its launch in 2021 and subsequent facelift, the original Spring has sold over 210,000 units. The new model will feature four "real seats" and offer "a proper boot," all while keeping the name that evokes the spring season—a symbol of renewal and positive energy, as noted in the official press release.
Reports from Dacia's native Romania indicate that the company plans to continue selling the facelifted first-generation Spring alongside the new model until demand for the older version subsides completely.
This strategy suggests that the new Spring may come at a higher price, making it sensible to keep the older model available. However, an official price announcement is still pending, and further details are anticipated in the future.
