According to a recent report from Korea, Samsung's successor to the Galaxy Ring is slated for release next year. The original Galaxy Ring was launched in 2024, meaning it will have nearly three years on the market before its replacement—an unusual timeline in today's fast-paced tech industry, where products often see yearly or bi-yearly refresh cycles.
The report indicates that the Galaxy Ring 2 will debut in early 2025, potentially alongside the Galaxy S27 family. For this new model, Samsung is reportedly prioritizing improvements in battery life, comfort, and sensor accuracy, addressing the main pain points identified in the original device.

The forthcoming device is expected to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, providing a more comfortable wearing experience, with an estimated battery life of 9-10 days. Enhanced sleep analysis accuracy and expanded insights into cardiovascular health are also anticipated. Furthermore, a future iteration of the Galaxy Ring series (not the Galaxy Ring 2) may feature non-invasive blood glucose measurement technology.
