BMW has announced a significant milestone, having produced its two millionth all-electric vehicle.
The milestone vehicle is the i5 M60 xDrive, which is shown below in Tansanit Blue and was assembled at BMW's facility in Dingolfing, Germany.

This particular model is set to be delivered to a customer in Spain. The Dingolfing plant began manufacturing electric vehicles in 2021, with the iX being the inaugural model. This facility now produces the widest range of all-electric cars in the BMW Group, including the iX, i5 sedan, i5 Touring, and i7.
Of the two million electric vehicles produced to date, 320,000 originated from this specific plant. By 2026, over 25% of the factory's output is expected to be electric vehicles. For several years, at least one electric vehicle has been manufactured at every BMW Group plant, contributing to Germany's status as the world's second-largest production hub for electric cars, as noted in BMW's press release.
