Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold series are set to enter their eighth generation later this year. Recent reports from South Korea have revealed potential enhancements for the flip model.
Samsung is anticipated to introduce a crease-free folding display along with a new hinge mechanism. While details are sparse, it is expected that Samsung will utilize dual-layer Ultra Thin Glass (UTG), as is rumored for the Z Fold8.
Galaxy Z Flip8 renderThe Z Flip8 is rumored to be slightly taller than its predecessor and, despite the hardware upgrades, it may be 8 grams lighter. Unfortunately, there are no anticipated changes to the camera setup seen in the Z Fold8, which is likely to maintain the same 50MP main and 12MP ultrawide cameras for a third consecutive iteration. Furthermore, the external display, speakers, and vibration motor are expected to remain unchanged.
Previous reports indicate that the Z Flip8 will retain the 4,300mAh battery capacity and 25W charging speed of the Z Flip7. Additionally, the latest report suggests a slight price increase may occur, potentially limited to the South Korean market.
